Christine M. Redman, 79, died peacefully on June 18, 2026.
Born in Queens, New York, to the late William Albert and Frances Marie Redman, nee Daly, she was raised in Long Island, and went on to obtain her PhD. She dedicated her life to the pursuit of knowledge.
Christine channeled her expertise into a rewarding career in the pharmaceutical industry, working for many years as a medical writer. She eventually retired from Johnson & Johnson, where her work contributed to the advancement of healthcare and medicine.
Beyond her professional achievements, Christine was a woman of diverse and rich passions. She was an avid reader who was rarely seen without a book, a big fan of the opera, and an avid traveler. Recently, she fulfilled a lifelong dream of going to Paris and praying at Notre Dame.
Closer to home, she found immense pleasure maintaining her garden and always held a special place in her heart for dogs having had three. She truly enjoyed the simpler pleasures of life-sharing a good dinner, enjoying a fine glass of wine, and engaging in deep conversations. She was incredibly generous with her knowledge, always willing to mentor, guide, or share insights with anyone who asked.
A woman of unwavering devotion, Christine was deeply committed to her Catholic faith, which guided her kind-hearted nature and her capacity to be a good friend to so many.
Above all, Christine cherished her family. She derived immense joy from family gatherings and held a particularly tender bond with her two great-nieces, whose lives she enriched with her warmth and affection.
She is survived by her two brothers, Bill and Dan, and Dan's wife, Alicia; her nephew, Nicholas; her niece, Elizabeth, and Elizabeth's husband, Ted; and her beloved great-nieces, Eleanor and Abigail.
She is also survived by her cousin, Carol, and her family, along with a wide circle of deeply valued friends.
Christine's kindness, wisdom, and grace will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
