Charles Andrew Territo, Jr., 82, died suddenly on October 12, 2024.
Born in Passaic to the late Charles, Sr. and Anna Territo (nee Korotky), and raised in Paterson, he was a graduate of Paterson High School East. He went on to attend NYU where he graduated with his engineering degree.
Charles began his 25-year career with the New Jersey Department of Transportation where he worked as an electrical engineer. He met the love of his life, Lois Grudinsky in 1981 and the two were inseparable ever since. They resided in Bridgewater where he found joy in gardening and taking care of his lawn. They enjoyed trips to the Jersey Shore and an annual trip to Ocean City, Maryland. Charles loved antiques and found beauty in old architecture, especially old castle estates of the northeast. No matter where they traveled, the Territo’s found an art museum and enjoyed the timeless classics and new local exhibits. They especially enjoyed going to California and Arizona and have traveled through Canada and Mexico. In his travels, Charles would find antique glass and always took a memento home to New Jersey. He loved classical music and quality time at home with his wife and friends.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Lois Grudinski Territo, his sister in law Jean Wolski, his best friends David Kleszky, Lynn Kleszyk, and their sons David Jr and Brian, his sister, Arlene Carlo and husband Monte, brother Leonard Territo and wife Mary, and several cherished nieces and nephews, extended family, colleagues, and friends.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024, at 10:00 AM at The Church of the Immaculate Conception, 35 Mountain Avenue, Somerville.
Family and friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 AM.
Entombment to follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, 95 Mt. Airy Road, Basking Ridge.
Memorial contributions may be made in is memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Donate Online , or the charity of your choice.
