Charles “Charlie” Ludlow died peacefully at his home in Bridgewater NJ on October 2nd at the age of eighty.

Charlie is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marie and their four sons: Robert Ludlow of South Hadley MA; Thomas Ludlow and wife Patricia Kemper of Garnet Valley PA; William Ludlow and wife Leslie Ludlow of Basking Ridge NJ; and David Ludlow and wife Janet Ludlow of Ellicott City MD; their thirteen grandchildren; his sister Eileen Collins and husband Donald Collins of Lady Lake FL; and their many nieces, nephews and other family members.

Charlie was born to Arthur and Anna Ludlow and grew up in Brooklyn NY. He served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956 and attended college on the GI Bill. He graduated from St. Francis College in Brooklyn NY in 1958 with a degree in Accounting and received his MBA from St. Johns University in 1966. Charlie began his career as an accountant for the Coca-Cola Company and then relocated to Allentown PA in 1966 where he worked for Mack Trucks. He moved to Bridgewater NJ in 1976 when he was promoted to Controller of the Parts Division for Mack.

Charlie was an accomplished financial executive and a generous man who also worked as an adjunct professor of accounting at both Rutgers University and Raritan Valley Community College. He belonged to St. Bernard of Clairvaux Parish and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a faithful husband, loving father and grandfather who enjoyed traveling and being with his family.

Visiting hours from 2 to 4PM and 7 to 9PM on Tuesday October 6th at the Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated10AM on Wednesday October 7th at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Bridgewater NJ. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Wescoesville, PA.
