Catherine J. Quinn, daughter of the late Francisco and Teresa (Certoma) Marripoda, died Tuesday, April 8, at Somerville Medical Center. Mrs. Quinn was born in Brooklyn, NY and resided in Somerville for many years before moving to her son's home in Bridgewater. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville. Catherine was blest to see her children's children's children grow and to teach all of them how to love and bake. On her long journey back to her Redeemer, she was gifted to become poor in spirit, meek, mourned and persecuted while remaining pure of heart, righteous and a beloved peacemaker. Surviving are her sons Frank (wife Barbara) and William (wife Beverley), 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, her siblings George, Albert, William and Robert Marripoda. Mrs. Quinn was predeceased by her other siblings, Dominic, John, Ernest, Joseph, Frank, Matilda Smith, Frances Beattie and Angelina Gallo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Monday, May 14 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville. Interment to follow at St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewater. Visiting hours from 2pm to 5pm on Sunday, April 13, at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Catherine's memory to the Immaculate Conception Church, 35 Mountain Ave., Somerville, NJ 08876
