Catherine Theresa Pecora was born into eternal life at age 100 on March 9, 2017. A longtime resident of Bridgewater, she died peacefully in her home which was the hub of the family. She was born on November 11, 1916, the daughter of Frank and Rose Ricca.

Catherine lived the Beatitudes. As a young woman, she took care of her extended family when jobs and money were scarce. Through her life, she gave of herself when family, friends, or neighbors were in need. She volunteered at the Midland School helping developmentally disabled children and spent time in nursing home beauty shops cutting and styling hair for residents.

Catherine is survived by her children, Susan Soriano, Wausau, WI; Joseph (Darlene), Point Pleasant Beach, NJ; Kenneth (Hollis), North Branch, NJ; Matthew (Cathy), Bethlehem, PA; and Anthony, Bridgewater, NJ; and her sister, Gloria Crowell, Middlesex, NJ. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Joseph, and her brother, Peter Rick.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 18 at 9:30 am at Immaculate Conception Church, Somerville, followed by entombment at St. Bernard’s Mausoleum in Bridgewater.
