Catherine Marek

_Catherine Marek (Gratta) died February 12, at Cinnaminson Center-Genesis Healthcare with her loving family at her bedside. Catherine, wife of the late John Andrew Marek, was born January 6, 1916 and was raised in Jersey City, NJ before moving to Pluckemin, NJ. to raise her family. She was a school bus driver for 29 years, was known for her love of children, outgoing personality, and proudly performed cartwheels until the age of 84. She is predeceased by her son Paul Marek and granddaughter Melissa LaMorges. Catherine is survived by 6 children; Russell Schombing of Jersey City, Robert Marek and his wife Diane of Easton, PA, Catherine LaMorges and her husband John of Springfield, NJ, Judith Sumoski and her husband Tom of Lancaster, PA, Michelle Daley and her husband James of Palm Coast, FL, and Terry Marek of Ewing, NJ. Catherine is survived by 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the employees of Cinnaminson Center and Life Choice Hospice.

Visitation is on Saturday, February 18th from 9 AM-10 AM at the Cusick Funeral Home in Somerville followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph's Church in Raritan NJ. Interment, St. Bernard Cemetery in Bridgewater.
