Catherine (Kay) Muzyka Boyle, 101, died on March 17, St. Patrick's Day, at Foothill Acres Nursing Center in Hillsborough. Kay was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA and was a lifelong resident of Finderne, Whitehouse and Somerville. During the 1939 World's Fair in New York she worked at Childs Restaurant in Times Square, trained during wartime in the Women's Army Corps at Belle Mead Depot, and then retired from Johns Manville in 1947 as a personnel service administrator. After that time, she was co-proprietor of Shandon Bells Tavern and Restaurant in Whitehouse. Mrs. Boyle was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville. She was predeceased by her husband, Patrick, brothers Charles and Steve, and sisters Mary, Anne, Eve, Jean and Peggy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30am on Wednesday March 21 at the Immaculate Conception Church, Somerville. Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Manville. Visiting hours on Tuesday, March 20 from 4PM to 7PM at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville. Surviving are a niece, Anne Dorothy Hosek of Long Island, a grand nephew, Kurt Miller of Massachusetts, and a grand niece Debra Brown of Manville.
