Catherine Roberta Allen

Catherine Roberta Allen, nee Terris, died peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on November 17, 2023.

Born in Somerville to the late Metro and Catherine Terris (nee Manning), she was a graduate of Somerville High School, Class of 1977.

Catherine met the love of her life, Tim Allen in 1979 and married the same year. They settled in Somerville where she worked as a Personal Banker in the banking industry for over thirty years and raised their four children.

With their family growing, Catherine was promoted to Mum Mum, having nine grandchildren to share her love of crafts and baking with. She had a natural talent for knitting, creating blanket keepsakes for her family to cherish for years to come. She made tumblers and baked incredible cakes for any occasion. She was known for her independent spirit and strong will. She truly enjoyed laughing with her family and friends. Most of all, she was an incredible wife, mother, mum mum, and friend, who will be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her dear brothers, Matthew and James Terris

Surviving are her beloved husband, Timothy Allen, her loving children, Ryan Allen and wife Kathie, Edward Allen and wife Kristin, Catherine “Katie” Puglia and husband Stephen, and Jeanette “Jenny” Allen, her cherished grandchildren Reagan, Lucas, Harper, Makayla, Austin, Jackson, Brooklyn, Logan, and Shane, her dear siblings, Betty Jean Pruess and husband Stephen, Thomas Terris and wife Suzanna, grandpups Gunner, Bear, and Rocco, her nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00PM on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at The Church of The Immaculate Conception, 35 Mountain Avenue, Somerville.

Family and friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home beginning at 9:00AM.

Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewater.
