Carolyn Lambert, nee Gerard, 79, of Hillsborough, died peacefully on May 27, 2022, at Hunterdon Medical Center. Raised in Raritan, Carolyn was a graduate of Somerville High School. While there, she met the love of her life, David Lambert, and the two were married in 1960. The newlyweds lived in Raritan and then in Indianapolis while Mr. Lambert served our country in the U.S. Army. They returned to Raritan in 1965 before settling in Hillsborough in 1967, where they raised their family. Mrs. Lambert worked in the Hillsborough High School cafeteria for over 20 years and was adored by staff and students. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother and cherished quality time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was known for her kindness and enjoyed the simple things in life such as music from the 1950’s, visiting the beach and dinner with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jack Gerard. Surviving are her beloved husband of 61 years, David, her loving children Daniel Lambert and wife Therese, and Jean Hyatt and husband Paul, her precious grandchildren Ryan, Diana, Benjamin, and Ella, her brother Robert Gerard and wife Rosalyn, and her extended family and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 3, 2022, at Mary Mother of God Church, 157 S Triangle Rd, Hillsborough. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home beginning at 9:00AM. Interment will follow at Neshanic Cemetery in Hillsborough.
