Carol Susan Fischer

August 3, 1952 — December 6, 2024

Carol Susan Fischer, 72, died peacefully on December 6, 2024.

Born in Irvington to the late Andrew and Gertrude Anlas (nee Mott), she was a graduate of West Morris Regional Highschool before attending college. She met her beloved husband, Jeffrey Fischer on a blind date in 1982. Two years later, the two were married and settled in Quakertown, before moving to Clinton where they raised their family. Carol devoted herself to taking care of her home and children and enjoyed their annual family vacations to Florida. She loved going down the shore and being oceanside. Carol and her husband both took up birdwatching, and spent quiet time together taking in the beautiful sights. She had an artistic ability that transcribed into crafts, especially scrapbooking, and found joy in taking some art classes. She was promoted to Grandma a few years ago when her cherished granddaughter was born and could always count on a smile during their time spent together. Mrs. Fischer worked for the Clinton Township Board of Education for almost a decade as a secretary before her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jeffrey R. Fischer in 2019.

Surviving are her loving sons, Colin J. Fischer and spouse C.J. and Corey J. Fischer and spouse Brianna, her cherished granddaughter Francesca, her siblings William “Bill” Anlas (Sue), Charles “Chuck” Anlas, Richard “Rick” Anlas, and Barbara Land (Vernon), and many nieces and nephews.
