Carmela "Nellie" Cammarata, 105, currently residing in Somerville for the past 15 years, passed away peacefully Friday, August 22, at her home. She was born December 18, 1908 in Throop, PA to the late Nicholas and Rose (Occhipinti) Mazzuca. She married Cologero (Charles) Cammarata on November 24, 1923 and together they began their family in Bound Brook.

Surviving is a son, Salvatore Cammarata and his wife Carmela Lina Cammarata, a daughter, Gertrude Bonaduce, a daughter-in-law Joanne Cammarata and seven grandchildren and spouses: Lee Loukatos, Grace & Craig Cyphers, Carmela & John Warne, Al & Donna Bonaduce, Charles & Tracey Cammarata, Elisa & Charles Esposito, Joseph Bonaduce; 15 great-grandchildren & five great-great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by her loving husband, Cologero Cammarata, her sons Nicholas and Rosario Cammarata, her son-in-law Joseph T. Bonaduce, her grand-daughter Juliann Bonaduce and her 10 siblings.

Visitation is Sunday, August 24, from 2-5 p.m. at the Cusick Funeral Home 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m., Monday, August 25, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 35 Mountain Avenue, Somerville.

Interment to follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Somerville.
