Brett Douglas Frana, 39, died after a long battle on July 22, 2022. Born in Princeton, he was a lifelong resident of Hillsborough, and was a graduate of Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School, Class of 2001. Brett had a passion for music and production, where he began his career with BML Staging, before starting with All Access Staging and Production in 2009. He was a master at lighting and had a natural talent for creating breathtaking staging. Brett was the keyboardist for the band Bile which has played and toured the U.S. extensively and former member of My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult who contributed songs to several movie soundtracks. He loved to create music and touring with his bandmates and production friends. Brett was a talented craftsman and could handle any tool he picked up. He was an incredible woodworker and learned his skillset from his loving father, the late George F. Frana, Jr. Something he learned from his father was how to be a good dad. Brett invested into this roll with his whole heart and devoted himself to his children. He attended every event and function for them and was a Den Dad for his sons Cub Scouts. His hands on approach to fatherhood created memories for his children that will last a lifetime. He was preceded in death by his infant brother, George Frana III, his dear brother Todd Frana, and his beloved father George F. Frana, Jr. Surviving are his adored children, Connor, Evelyn, and Stella, his devoted mother Carole Frana and partner Michael O’Leary, his dear sisters Jennifer Frana, Jaqueline Frana, and Laura Frana, his cherished nephew and niece Edward Pankowski, Jr., and Natalia Pankowski, as well as his extended family, many colleagues, and friends who will sorely miss him. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022, from 4:00 to 8:00pm at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at the funeral home. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home beginning at 9:30AM
