Betty (Sixt) Newland, wife of the late Cecil "Red" Newland, died on July 4. Mrs. Newland was born in Somerville and resided in Raritan since 1954. Surviving are her devoted daughter and son-in-law Barbara "Bobbi" and Ted Lozito of Hillsborough and granddaughters Jennifer Nicewicz (husband Michael) of Hillsborough and Kelly Piwoski (husband Brian) of Kresgeville, PA and great grandchildren Ryan and Brady Piwoski. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, July 13, 11am at the New Cemetery, Somerville. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Hubert's Animal Shelter, 575 Woodland Ave., Madison, NJ 07940
