Barbara Rose Dondiego Kosinski

Barbara Rose Dondiego Kosinski, 75, died peacefully at RWJ Somerset Medical Center on April 19, 2024.

Born December 8, 1948, to  Angelina M. Kosinski and the late Peter J. Kosinski. Barbara grew up in Middlesex Borough and attended Our Lady of Mount Virgin School as well as Immaculata in Somerville and graduated from Middlesex High School in 1967. Barbara moved to El Paso, Texas where she continued her studies and graduated from El Paso Community College. She worked for several years at the El Paso County Courthouse in El Paso, Texas.

One of Barbara’s hobbies included collecting DVDs of classic old movies from the 30’s, 40’s, 50’s and 60’s. She could tell you the story and names of the actors who were cast and their respective parts in every movie she watched and collected. She was a fan of watching the METS and Dallas Cowboys. She also enjoyed visiting in person all the historic old sites of Manhattan. Less than 10 years ago, Barbara moved back to New Jersey to be closer to her family.

Barbara is survived by her mother, Angelina M. Kosinski of Auburndale, Florida, brother Robert and wife Sherry of Jersey City, New Jersey, sisters Diane L. Kosinski of Bridgewater, NJ and Patricia M. Kosinski of Monroe Township, New Jersey, her nephew Stephen Kosinski and his wife Robin Kao, grandniece Flora Mei-Wen Kosinski of Waltham, Massachusetts, and many relatives and friends. She was pre-deceased by her stepfather Andres E. Carrillo in November of 2023.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 29th, 2024, at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Somerville, NJ.

Inurnment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway, New Jersey.
