Antoinette "Ann" Dallessio died October 3rd at Somerset Medical Center. Ann was born in Brooklyn, NY and has been a resident of Somerville since the 1920's.
Many of Somerville's older residents and some not so old will remember Ann working at the ice cream & candy store affiliated with the Somerville Shell Service Station on the corner of Gaston Ave. and William St. in Somerville. She began working at the family business as a teenager and continued until well into her 80s.
She was predeceased by her brothers Dick and Tom Dallessio, who owned and operated the service station at the same location. Ann was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and a graduate of Somerville High School. Surviving are her nephews Jerry and Richard Dallessio and a niece Patricia Dallessio (Zalewski), grand nieces Joy and Tatiana and her cousins Thomas G.(Sonny) and Frances Dallessio and Jean Lucas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am on Tuesday, October 9, at the Immaculate Conception Church. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. Visiting hours are from 2-4 & 7-9pm on Monday, October 8, at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville.
