Ann Mary Woods, 93, died peacefully on June 14, 2026.

Born and raised in Elmira, NY, the only child of Henry and Mary Ann Lynaugh (nee McMahon), she went on to graduate from Nursing School and served her residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Ithaca, New York. She met the love of her life Timothy C. “Ted” Woods on a blind date, the two were married, and lived in Horseheads, New York. Raising their family they spent summers at the Finger Lakes in New York, a tradition they carried on throughout her life.

The Woods settled to Bridgewater in 1968 where they raised their family. Ann devoted herself to being a wife and mother for many years before continuing to care for others as a Registered Nurse. She began working for Raritan Valley Nursing Home where she was the Head Nurse, providing stable and supportive care for all of her nurses and patients.

Ann and Ted had a passion for playing bridge and were part of local groups where they found joy spending time together. The long-lasting friendships made playing bridge created a friend group that enjoyed traveling together. They enjoyed traveling to Europe and Canada creating memories. Ann lost her husband in 1998 and spent the rest of her retirement with her children, grandchildren, and friends.

Surviving are her loving children Geoffrey Woods and wife Marianne, Tricia Chapman and husband Jim, and Joan Woods, her cherished grandchildren, Sean, Alexis, Andrew, and Owen, and her two adored great grandchildren Savannah and Alayna.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM on Monday, June 22, 2026 at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church, 500 RT 22, Bridgewater.

Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery.
