Angelina Dorsa, wife of the late Anthony Dorsa (1995) and mother of the late Rene Colon Jr. (1973) and Mercy Greenaway (2001), died Thursday, July 5, at Somerset Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was also predeceased by her 4 brothers and 8 sisters. Mrs. Dorsa was born in Flagtown and was a proud life long resident. Angie began her many years of employment as a truck driver for the General Services Administration Depot (VA) during WW II and then continued as a bus driver for Kanes's Bus Company of Flagtown for 20 years before retiring in 1989 from RCA, Bridgewater as a quality control inspector for many years. Her service to her community included her active memberships in the Hillsborough Democratic Club for 50 years, Hillsborough Township Committee Woman for District #3 for over 50 years, the Ladies Auxiliary Fire Company #1 Flagtown for 47 years, Hillsborough Senior Citizens Chapter B and a former Union Executive of Local 439. When Angie had time, she loved cooking for family and friends, sneaking out to AC and playing the lottery. Surviving are her daughters Gloria Westervelt and Patricia Kemp both of Flagtown, a son-in-law Gerald McDonald of Barnegat, her grandchildren Liesje Fennimore, George Greenaway (wife Michelle), Kelly Slicker (husband Thomas), Tricia Kemp (companion Leon Liedl) and James J. Kemp Jr. (wife Elizabeth) and great grandchildren Timothy and Kyle Fennimore, Brittney and Tyler Greenaway, Matthew and Alexis Slicker and Laura Liedl and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended families and special friends. Visiting hours from 2-4 & 7-9pm on Sunday, July 8 at the Cusick Funeral Home,Somerville. A Funeral Service will be also on Sunday beginning at 8pm. On Monday, July 9, family and friends will gather 11am at the funeral home for prayers before leaving for the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ for her interment service. Angie will be buried alongside her husband Anthony, a Veteran of WWII. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Hillsborough Rescue Squad, Hillsborough Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary #1 Flagtown or the Hillsborough Democratic Club.
