Angela Orsillo

Angela Orsillo, nee Gugliotti, 76, died peacefully on April 26, 2024.

Born in Benevento, Italy to the late Nicola and Concetta Gugliotti (nee Morelli), she married the love of her life, Nicola Orsillo, and settled in Rome where they began their family. After moving back to Benevento as their family grew, the Orsillo’s decided to move to Bridgewater, New Jersey in 1985. They bought a house in Somerville soon after, where they raised their family.

Mrs. Orsillo went to work for Bridgewater East High School in the cafeteria. Her inherent talent for cooking was put to great use as a chef with Soriano’s Parkside in Bridgewater, where her home-cooked meals were the center for countless special events. Angela was an incredible wife, mother, and grandmother, who devoted herself to her family. She always made enough food, and some extra, just in case anyone dropped in. The time spent raising her family and watching them raise their own families brought her the greatest joy in life. She enjoyed having people come over and hosting her family for events both small and large, everyone who came over felt immediately at home. The love she had for her family showed in everything she did, especially for her grandchildren who were the light of her life.

She was a parishioner of St. Bernard of Clairvaux R.C. Church before attending The Church of The Immaculate Conception in Somerville. Her catholic faith transcended continents and language barriers and was a cherished part of her life.

Angela was preceded in death by her baby Antonio.

Surviving are her beloved husband Nicola Orsillo, her devoted sons, Salvatore Orsillo and wife Giuliana, Roberto Orsillo and fiancé Ana, Cosimo Orsillo and wife Jackie, and Damiano Orsillo, her adored grandchildren, Daniel, Gabriella, Daniella, Brianna, Nicolas, Cristina, Federica, Isabella, Angelica, Sofia, Victoria, and Valentina, her dear brother Dominico Gugliotti and wife Gina, dear nephew Nicki, and her many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00PM at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at The Church of The Immaculate Conception, 35 Mountain Avenue, Somerville. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home beginning at 9:00AM

Entombment will follow at St. Bernards Cemetery, Bridgewater, NJ
