Angela Rita Giardina

Angela R. Giardina died December 19 at home. She was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. She lived for a time in Pittsburgh before moving to Somerville in 1974. Mrs. Giardina was the wife of the late Vincent Giardina Sr., mother of the late Charles Giardina and grandmother of the late Jennifer Beisswanger. A member of the Immaculate Conception Church, Somerville and the Altar Rosary Society there, Mrs. Giardina retired as a legal secretary for the State of New Jersey Workmans' Compensation Bureau. Surviving are her children Regina, Joseph (Susan), Thea, John (Kathy), Vincent Jr. and Annette, and grandchildren Rob (Katia), Jennifer, Nick (Kelly), Tess, Alex, Michael, Dana and Danielle, 11 great grandchildren and Charles' wives Mari Devenyi and Debbie Giardina. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Friday, December 23 at the Immaculate Conception Church, Somerville. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. Visiting hours from 2-4pm and 7-9 on Thursday, December 22 at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville.
