Alice Dimaano

Alice Dimaano, 57, died peacefully on September 11, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born and raised in Lipa, Philippines she was a college graduate who began her administrative career at a law office in Lipa City, Philippines. Shortly after that, she established her own cooking oil trading business. Her desire to work hard and provide an amazing life for her family brought her to the United States in 1994, where she has been a resident of Brooklyn and Jersey City. Most recently she worked in administration for Sahara Medical Associates in Jersey City where her client relations reflected her kindness and dedication to the patients.

Alice loved to travel with her family, especially to Europe to see her siblings and extended family. She enjoyed vacationing to tropical islands and especially enjoyed the beach. Alice collected magnets which was a reflection of all of her travels. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was the center of her world, and she relished the quality time spent together. Her home was always the center of holiday gatherings and special events. Alice was an exceptional cook, always assuring there was enough food and then some, her house was a home to all who entered. One of her true passions was baking. She really showed care and thoughtfulness by sharing homemade treats with others on their occasions. She baked every grandchild’s birthday cake, and received rave reviews which spoke to the beautiful look, deliciousness and love infused into each baked creation. She was so proud of the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren and spoke of them often to everyone she knew. Her legacy lives on in the stories told of the time together.

She was preceded in death by her father, Romeo Maño, her dear brother Nestor Maño, and her daugther-in-law Tess Dimaano.

Surviving are her dear mother Julita Maño, beloved husband Freddie Dimaano, her loving children, Allen Dimaano, Diana Trinidad and husband Chris, Pauline Politico and husband Henry, Ronalice Stankiewicz and husband Eddie, and Paul Dimaano, her adored grandchildren Krysten, Mykayla, Xaine, Olivia, Renesme , Athena, Iseiah, Sophia, Andrew, Tyler, Chloe, her dear siblings Alex Maño, Rowena DeTorres, Henry Maño, Vener Maño, and Marissa Maño, as well as her nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 19, 2024, and on Friday, September 20, 2024, at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church, 122 High Street, South Bound Brook.

To reflect Alice’s light, it is the wishes of the family that all in attendance for her funeral to be wearing all white or a white top with black pants.

Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 145 Mt Airy Rd, Basking Ridge.
