Adrienne Xuereb

Adrienne Xuereb, 75, died peacefully on August 4, 2022. Born in Tarxien, Malta to the late Paul and Mary Xuereb, her family moved to Newark, New Jersey in 1952. They then settled in Roselle where Adrienne graduated from Abraham Clark High School, class of 1965. She followed her dream to work in New York City and began her career with Merrill Lynch as an executive assistant before working for a fine fragrance company, Firmenich, Inc. in Manhattan as an office manager. Adrienne was a member at the Met Opera House where she attended operas and symphonies and enjoyed shows at Lincoln Center. She was a kid at heart and loved her niece and nephews as if they were her own. Often taking them into NYC to see her job and have all the great big city experiences. She enjoyed crosswords, especially the NY Times crossword puzzle. Being the “fun aunt” was multigenerational, taking on a loving role in the lives of her great nephews too. Adrienne loved to travel, especially to Malta and Italy, where she traveled with family members from time to time. She was so important in the lives of her family and it was evident in all she did to create memories her family will cherish for generations to come. Adrienne was active in her high school reunion planning board, and frequently attended events and kept in touch with her high school friends. She loved to be surrounded by family and friends at social events and was always there for anyone who needed her. Surviving are her loving sister, Carmela Sickinger and husband Joseph, Sr., her adored niece and nephews, Donna Losito and husband Joseph, Joseph Sickinger, Jr. and Michael Sickinger, her adored great-nephews JJ and Logan, as well as her many dear friends and colleagues.
